There is a lot of sad news today in the world. I sometimes just don't understand, and it can be tough to have optimism. But there is so much good as well. So What If we just decided to not allow hatred and race determine how we live our lives? Seriously, What IF?
What IF today you didn't judge? What IF you loved instead?
What IF today you saw their lives with a heart filled with compassion, with empathy?
What IF you decided not to be afraid? What IF you followed your dream!
What IF today you allowed yourself not to judge your own ideas and just followed your heart!
What IF you served others without wanting something in return? What IF it changed their lives!
What if you could impact the world with a simple act of kindness!
What IF today you didn't care what other people thought about you? What IF they admired that!
What IF we didn't believe all the media portrayal of what successful is and defined it on our own terms!
What IF you could take back those actions and change things? What IF you didn't focus on the past but instead on changing the future? What IF you succeeded!
What IF the limitations you believe weren't actually true! What IF you went out and broke through those limitations! What IF you finally understood they were not real, you created them!
What IF you didn't wait any longer? What if we didn't wait any longer?
I'm not going to let fear, hatred, or lack of knowledge stop me from changing the world. One small action at a time. One small act of kindness each day. One smile at a stranger who needs one regardless of their race, religion, or ideology. What IF that smile was a sign that we can all coexist together in peace. Smiles are cheap. Hugs are cheap. Nothing is impossible if your WHAT IF is big enough.
